AUGUST: born in a tiny town that doesn't exist in the real world (it's close to kenai, alaska) august was dropped at a group home for magically inclined children and adopted at age 10. he's got a doomed narrative that i can tldr you another time when/if it comes up, but basically super super deep into demonic magic & allows possession for more power. he's got nasty aura that'll infect rooms/people if he's around them for too long and an eidetic memory boosted by magic so he carries tons of information having grown up devouring books/tomes/grimoires/etc, spent hours in musty libraries and places he shouldn't be. this is already so long i'll stop. also his eyes can get creepy reflective in the dark.
SABER: cw mentions of death of mother during childbirth, child abuse, murder, grooming OLD (100-ish) and kept alive by a cosmic horror he fondly refers to as "mom" through a contract. lots of mommy issues this one. boston native, neglectful/abusive father who blamed him for his mother's death but this doesn't bother him??? shipped off to the army after he tried to kill a fellow student > shipped off to the cia > trained to be a weapon > rogue operative in russia. absolutely insatiable appetite and is missing guilt or fear from his vocabulary. smells like cigarettes, citrus and vetiver.
TRAVIS: from a fictional town called wiskayok, new jersey in 1996, but got stranded in the canadian forests for ~two years after a plane crash. teen boy that came with all the macho sexism the 90s and the bad influence his father gave him & had to quickly learn hey, that's not helpful when ur surrounded by your little brother, 12 girls, an amputated coach, and your father is dead! his survival instincts paved his path and he went through a LOT in those forests god these blurbs feel so long i'm sorry anyway cannibalism in the woods and traumabonding. smells fresh, like the outdoors, and sometimes cigarettes or weed if he's been around nat. he doesn't use any cologne. insert boysmells here.
